The holidays are a busy time at the Ludington Area Center for the Arts. December kicks off with the Aglow on the Avenue parade at 6:30 in downtown Ludington. Then join your friends and neighbors at the Art Center's After Glow Reception for hot cocoa, refreshments, and a performance by the LHS Symphony.

Other December events include:

Improvika's Peppermint Patty Playhouse presents "A Charlie Brown Christmas," Saturday and Sunday, December 10 & 11 at 3pm.

Lakeside Civic Players presents "Almost, Maine," December 9 & 10, 16 & 17 at 7:30pm.

Since its opening, Ludington Area Center for the Arts has proven to be a valuable and cultural asset to the city of Ludington. The Center has already hosted various concerts, exhibits, films, and speakers, with a busy season ahead.

Significant progress has been made at the Art Center. The five phase renovation plan to completely renovate the 116-year old building is an ambitious project, as they want to maintain the historic integrity of the structure. A gift shop, called The Muse, is now open Tuesday-Saturday from noon-5:30pm. Here you'll find the works of artists from the Ludington area and throughout Michigan. The collection includes art and craft items, sculpture, paintings, pottery, books, and hand-crafted jewelry.

Center Hours are Tuesday-Saturday, 12pm-5:30pm.
